
Otsego Lake Endowment Fund (OLEF)
Fund Objective:
The OLEF (held in trust at Otsego Community Foundation – “OCF”) is designed to be a charitable source of funding to support projects and programs to preserve and protect Otsego Lake.
The Fund IS:

A long-term funding source for Preserving and Protecting Otsego Lake.

Funded by voluntary contributions from people with a vested interest in maintaining the beautiful asset that is our lake.
The Fund is NOT:

A funding source for OLA activities unrelated to lake preservation and protection.

A funding source for one off projects, promotional events, fireworks, or other unrelated activities.
How the fund works:

Donations are made to the OLEF endowment fund through OCF.

Funds are invested in a collective pool with other OCF funds and managed by a professional money management company.

The funds and the investments are overseen by an OCF advisory committee independent of the OLA BoD.
